How to download Sota VPN on a PC or laptop

Step by step

1. Windows. Press Download app on the Sota Connect for Windows page. The sotaconnect_setup.exe installer downloads. If the main link doesn't open, the same page has a GitHub mirror. Run the file and follow the installer.
2. macOS. Install Sota Connect from the App Store using the button on the Sota Connect for macOS page.
3. Linux. On the Sota Connect for Linux page, download the package for your system: .deb for Debian and Ubuntu, .rpm for Fedora and RHEL, .pkg.tar.zst for Arch and Manjaro. Install it like any other program.
4. Open Sota Connect and enter the access key from your dashboard. The guide Sota VPN access key explains how to get one. Press Confirm.
5. Pick a country on the server panel or press Best server, then press the big power button. When the status changes to Connected, the VPN is on.

Good to know

• A laptop and a desktop are the same to the app: any computer with a current Windows, macOS or a popular Linux version will do.
• One access key works on every device of your subscription, up to 10 at the same time. Your phone and computer connect with the same key.
• If Windows SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, check that the file came from the official link on sotavpn.com or the sotavpn GitHub, then allow it to run.
